What do you use and are they any good?
I've had a set of Bosch Aerotwin for a couple of years, they were quiet but never cleaned the 1/4 of the windscreen in front of my eyes. Recently I bought a set of wipers from Paddocks and they're the "Iguana" brand. The clean the windscreen perfectly but screech irritatingly. I'm after a set of wipers that are quiet and clean the windscreen. Any ideas? |

Just fitted a set of LR originals from Dan at Duckworths (site sponsor).
Good price, delivered to my door. Work as they should - clear the screen fine and are quiet. I also use RainX windscreen cleaner, which seems to help too. |

Areotwins front and rear combined with using GTECHNIQ G1 clearvision, far superior to rainX one coating a year and the results are excellent. 2015 HT XS 90

I buy bearmach ones every year when I do the service on mine. I fit them at the start of the autumn to get the full benefit. Think they cost me under a fiver.

Right, so far the best option seems to be the different Bosch ones.
With the Aerotwins I know it wasn't just one faulty wiper because it was the same on both sides of the windscreen. The top 5cm was wiped, then there was a 10cm gap of smeariness where I looked through, then the bottom 15-20cm was clear. Thanks all |

No one seems to have mentioned PIAA wipers. I'm sure there was a group buy couple years ago but didn't go anywhere.
I bought direct from PIAA but not cheep at £50. Very good but only lasted same time as genuine and Bosch. Keith |

I just buy the Rainy Day 33’s by the box and it works out very cheap. I could buy a fair few boxes for £50!

Got really fed up with my windscreen wipers and noted that the drivers side one was splitting.
As mentioned in another post, I had been considering Kelmarsh Show and as the weather was iffy, didn't want to chance the wiper failing. Read through this post after doing a search and ordered some Bosch Superplus wipers (like Martin and Clayton recommended) from Opie Oils. 1st class service and I am very happy. I also tried the GTECHNIQ G1 coating on my windscreen (as recommended by Sulisuli). Had tried RainX (albeit a long time ago) and had never had a lot of luck. It was great at clearing the rain, but was not overly great once the wipers were switched on. The G1 is first class. Three coats on the windscreen, one on all other windows. The amount supplied just about got round my 110 Utility. It would be fine for a normal car and loads for a 90, but you may struggle with a SW if you want to coat all the windows. I am well chuffed with the G1 and Superplus combination. Thank you Gentlemen for your recommendations and advice |
