Yeah I don’t think I paid that! But agree when you have a normal machine would be handy to just take it along!

I have 2 x excess compact normal kitchen machines due to upgrading for free with their subscriptions, they would work a treat if I could power them. Until then the old pot will just keep on delivering. When we are allowed out. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

Revisiting an old thread I know, but I now have a use for the 230V socket and am running into an issue.

I’ve got a big power bank that I’m planning to use for camping (EcoFlow River Max) and so having the 230V socket in the rear is ideal, although the battery bank will happily draw 500W and so the car shuts down the socket immediately, with a red light showing…

Is anyone else experiencing the same?

I’m happy only having ~180W the socket is rated for but the battery bank can obviously take more and the car doesn’t seem able to limit it and so trips… not suite sure how to solve this one but just interested if anyone has any insights Cheers, David

It’s just obeying ohm’s law.

Yep I understand that - thanks…. Rolling Eyes

In the end I have managed to limit the charging rate on the EcoFlow to 150W using the app which does the job perfectly Thumbs Up Cheers, David

Glad you got it sorted, and sorry for assuming you didn’t understand ohm’s law, but when you said “and the car doesn’t seem able to limit it”, it made me wonder.

Yeah ha sorry last sounded more sarcastic than I meant it…! Ha

I was getting frustrated at first somehow thinking that something in the chain should be able to ‘hold back’ but I guess that would be quite complicated electronics for the car to have built in…

Didn’t realise there were any settings on the power bank but that was exactly what I needed so all good! Cheers, David

I have an Anker 757 Power Station that can be charged via a 3pin plug or a cigarette lighter but when I plug it into the 3 pin in the boot it constantly clicks and will not charge!

If I use the cigarette lighter option on the other side it charges happily - I then have a kettle that I plug into the Anker that happily boils away and only uses a very small percentage of the Anker unit Thumbs Up which then charges once the car is started.

As for milk, I run an Engle that the Anker powers all day and night Wink Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free
