P1336 Crankshaft Position sensor

Hi we have installed a new 2.2 puma engine into our 110 landrover when it is started we get a crank shaft position sensor warning.
with Fault code – P1336, Crankshaft/Camshaft sensor range/performance. Mechanical Failure wrong mounting Position.
Have tried replacing sensor with new one , re positioning it, removed engine to find the TDC on the flywheel and set distance as per the manual all to no avail
Any Ideas.

Hi Graham,
I can see you posted this in 2019 and didnt get any answers. I have come across the same problem and wondered if you ever got this sorted as we seem to have tried everything to sort it.
