I've seen one bored to 2.8. Don't know BHP figures ask Ian aka Porny or Pete Bas.

It would be interesting to know who's getting what power and what they've had to do to get it.

Mine is just over 170bhp tested on a rolling road running alive remap, and intercooler. Fancying a vgt turbo but just had new gearbox so not the pennies.
Think there was a td5 pushing over 200bhp on the roiling road day running basically the same but with a turbo and different map but don't hold me to that as was 12 months ago. |

The famous 2.8 was stroked using a custom crank. Great for more grunt in the low revs but for more power your going to want it to spin faster as well. www.td5.org

Sphere 170 bhp is very good for remap and intercooler and i bet it goes well. Im guessing the other side of that your going to need to start spening serious money 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

I use a PSI power box. Yes it is probably not as good as a proper tune and surely not as good as tune for a respectable tuner but I got it cheap and it is giving me probably around a 150 HP (not measured) (PSi quotes 160 HP and 374 NM) But I think my 90 is not perfect so I assume I get less.
I got it cheap and what I like I can switch it on and off. I normally don't use it on the road only if needed. But use it often off-road but as it is easily switchable also only when I think I will need it. It makes a lot off difference I can say that. My almost worn clutch doesn't slip when the box is switched off but it will slip in any gear when I give full throttle above 2000 rpm. I have a 2015 2.2 puma 90 with an Alive tuning high flow intercooler, remap and EGR delete. It’s around 175bhp, 450nm / 330ftlbs torque. It pulls a penman military trailer up a steep hill at 70mph and will sit all day long a 90 on the motorway without putting my foot all the way down. It shifts and sounds good with an Alive tuning sports exhaust. Not as nice sounding as a TD5 but nice.

I've heard rumours of 240+
seen a dyno chart or 2 of 230 Big power puts a lot of strain on them, I had a spicy 2.4 - big turbo etc, had a few issues and decided to turn it down a little, its still fairly spicy.. |

My 110 is 230bhp and 525nm torque. It had to be pushed further but we where limited by the size of the factory airbox, currently looking at options for larger airboxes! Once ive got that sorted should be able to push a bit more
Currrently done over 6,000miles at that level on and off road without issue (well I blew up a DMF ) its also driven everyday by me. Empire tuned Empire VNT CJM manifold 4 bar MAP sensor 3" Downpipe Allisport IC 3.5" air intake Egr blanked On a calibrated Maha Dyno. The graph is a little out as after we pushed through 500nm it rescaled to 1000nm. The mapping has since been adjusted. Click image to enlarge Instagram @defender_ventures Empire Tuning - Agent |

we ran a td5 Trophy vehicle that was just over 200hp, we always took a spare head and engine with us and usually ended up fitting them, so yes they make the power but not always for very long in my experience. this was some time ago now and things move on, maybe the reliability is there now on 200bhp+, it wasnt when we were playing around. Cheers
