Changing Radiator & CHT
So this is on my list to do this week and I was wondering if I really need to remove the front grill?

I have an A bar and I won't be able to take the top brackets off so would have to remove the entire thing if the grill needs to come off.

I was thinking I might be able to remove the viscous fan and then lift the lower cowel out to get to the lower pipe?

Also whats the best thing to do to remove the CHT if you dont have the socket with the notch?

All useful pointers appreciated! Very Happy

Easiest way is to remove the rad shroud, front grill and intercooler. This gives you a clean approach to the radiator and thermostat.

We have done ours now four times, chasin a coolin issue... Can't leave well enough alone

Hi Greyman,

You can remove your CHT with an open ended spanner, I just installed mine with one. Cant remember what size it was though.
Its hard to get to but its doable. Unplug it first so the cable is free to spin round.

15mm i think, just get a cheap socket and grind a slot into it.
