They have the list as lower than they were - so the discount does not look as much...
But I guess - with 20 new in stock - they have to do something to shift them.. There is a HSE with loads of extras reduced from a list of 67600 to 62660... but what about the extras? Metallic Eiger Grey, £62,660 Extra features These are in addition to what this car typically comes with as standard: Secure Tracker Pro - 12 Month Subscription Comfort and Convenience Pack Electrically Deployable Towbar 20in Alloy Wheels - Style 5098 - 5 Spoke - Satin Dark Grey Black Exterior Pack Head Up Display Privacy Glass Black Roof Rails Black Contrast Roof Natural Smoked Dark Oak Veneer |

Isn’t a new 3.0 similar spec FE now about £60.5K? Click image to enlarge |

I am not sure if actually the older non mild-hybrid tech appeals to me, if I was thinking of a long term vehicle.
They have removed the 4.4 I have the the FFRR in favour of the new mild-hybrid's as well and I just don't know what that means from a reliability and maintenance perspective. I had a c350e PHEV and it was an awful thing, always back in the garage for something PHEV related. |

Wow! That’s more like it.
How can JLR charge less for an updated model with, arguably, a better engine than the launch model? I wonder if there has been a serious revision of the pricing policy where prices just ticked up ignoring all economic indicators? Jim |

I saw a silver 110 on the A3 yesterday then realised that I had not seen one since the end of September.
Guess we will have to wait for Supercat to update us with the sales figures but based on my MK1 eyeball I have seen many more Discovery 5’s on the road in the same period. All those low mileage Defenders on eBay that are not being sold by dealers I am guessing they were the August three hour demo fleet...... |

Seeing lots more around town recently, couple of 90s too - think a couple locally have replaced RR Sports.

My D240 FE with deployable tow bar, spare wheel cover, mudflaps all round and the front underbody protection plate cost me £61k OTR in June so I don’t know what other options must have been on that Silver one, certainly not a bargain discounted price on that one. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Pricing seems odd
My dealer group has an approved used D200 110 base model with the only options I can see is Pangea green paint and tow bar for £50k reduced from £56k, a model that cost £45k before options, that’s a big mark up for metallic paint and a tow bar On the flip side they have new 20MY D200 110 base model, Tasman Blue, White roof, privacy glass and cold climate pack for just over £49k. Pay more for a used car with less options on it |

Has it got satin wrap on the Pangea green? That’s £3775. Metallic paint around £695, tow bar around £1100

Just the standard paint job
Click image to enlarge I’ve got my eye on this one but I think I still prefer the 90, though if the price was right. Click image to enlarge |

I dug out an email from Drivethedeal from earlier this month. With just over £2k discount available on a new 3.0 D200 (and the lower retail price) I don't honestly know why anyone would consider the 4-pot at any price starting with a four.

I think this info is in line with what I've been seeing across the pond. All 5 dealerships I've contacted are saying "very popular, hard to find $5K above MSRP 'due to market demand'" yet they've not moved more than 2 to 3 since the models hit the dealership lots. One dealership has 36. Hasn't moved one. I'm sure there's more to it behind the scenes but also maybe perception is reality and these need to come down a bit in price (at least by way of incentives). I know that i have posted this video else where but to answer your question - i would hazard a guess that the answer is Bronco. Ford's (looking at this video) message, is clear, 'This is YOUR bronco, make it your own. get out and enjoy life. Not as in the UK at least, 'This Defender belongs to the Finance company, don't you dare do more than 8k a year driving (as per a recent thread) and make sure we get in back in near perfect condition so we have something to sell as Approved'. |
