I’m on my 10th LR, new Defender will be 11th, whilst it’s not all been plain sailing, I can’t fault JLR, the dealer or the product. Though I’m now using a new dealer but same sales guy. Will see how this dealer fairs.

I’ve lost my patience I’d guess you’d say with these two. The last several videos are zero substance, and they keep harping on how they’ve had three Defenders now. No you haven’t, you’ve had two. Was the second one titled in your name? If not, it wasn’t yours. But it makes for good headlines. Sad 2020 110 SE P400

I guess when you are casting around for content on a vehicle you have an interest in, it's disappointing when the said content appears to be a rehash of previous content. However, perhaps you should bear in mind that the last video was actually them just filming a podcast so YouTube wasn't the main audience. Can't blame them for then putting it online ~ it's how they pay the bills.

It's a moot point on whether it is 2 or 3 Defenders going by Title (by which I take it you are referring to registration/ownership papers). The winch was theirs, gifted to them by JLR, it was being fitted to "their" Defender ~ they picked it and so I think to most people they would class the vehicle as being theirs irrespective of the paperwork formalities.

The argument you make may well stand up better if this was the initial one and they had not paid yet, and so title passes with payment; but this was a replacement one and payment had already been made.

The big picture of the experience, the roller-coaster of events, is where the story is. It may not be palatable to those invested emotionally and financially; forensically examining the fine detail can't really distract from that.

I've watched a lot of good YouTube content on the new Defender and overall it's been mostly positive reviews from actual owners. I was thinking of doing a YouTube review on my Defender as well but I just haven't found the time to do it. The issues addressed by the TFL guys and the powerfulUK guys are really nothing that would concern me. These guys are in the business of making money from the video content that they provide and I respect them for it. I've been driving Range Rovers for over 10 years now and so far the new Defender has been just as good as all of my Range Rovers have been. Therefore, there's nothing in those YouTube videos to discourage me about my new Defender. Ray
