Slipping clutch possibly Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.

Take care not to let the clutch slip too much as can overheat and damage the flywheel. Gearbox out to replace. While at it yoy can consider checking or replacing the adapter shaft between the gearbox and the transfer case. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

My clutch went at 44k. Is it original?
Current clutch I have is about 38k now, the first was the original generation. The newer ones seem much better overall.

My '07 110 was on its third clutch at 44k and is now on its fifth (I think, it's easy to lose count) at 250k. The current one is overdue for replacement but has been in for 100k. The fourth lasted 60k, so they are getting better but 100k isn't great for a traditional clutch. These have all been genuine standard driven plates, I have a 4x4 Transit clutch to put in next.
I may have got through a lot of clutches, but incredibly the output adaptor shaft coupling is the original (tempting fate to say this, I know). |
