Leeuwin Estate third from left? ISTR visiting that winery on a wine tasting tour from Margaret River earlier in the year. And very nice wine it all was. Hic!

That doesn't sound like they actually followed the installation instructions - or measured incorrectly and then butchered the trim to align the bolts? |

Who will be the first to refrigerate their sandwhich box to keep the drinks and glasses cool...........
looking at the above photos I suspect your Dry Martinis would definitely be shaken and not stirred on a trail drive. if those are now surplus to requirements, i would remove the captive nuts and put on a new piece of trim to hide the
holes. It looks like they measured once and cut twice yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

It's in the fitting instructions to slot them.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy the fixings for the side box separately? I bought what I thought was a genuine side box on eBay (I hope not from anyone on here) but it came with plastic nuts and washers which are clearly third party and i dont think are safe to use.

If it's just nuts and washers can you not just buy stainless equivalents? Darren

Yes, the bottom fixings are fine but There are a couple for the top that slide into the roof rails. They have to be a specific shape so that they can slide but still grip the rail when tightened. The after market plastic ones wouldn’t hold the force of the box even without the tools I plan to put in it…
