Wow. What a find. I wonder if they have more military vehicles like yours tucked away in the reserves.

What a fantastic record. I'd almost be tempted to supplement it with my own for posterity! Darren

Most 404 mogs have a gvw of 4500kg. If it is older than 1960 you can drive on a car license. If newer you need an hgv license. Mine is 1962 but I've had it downplated to 3500kg so can be driven on a car license. Its 2600kg so can still carry 900kg.

Excellent.
Regretting letting my HGV licence slide now... |

Can still be driven on a pre 97 car license though. (Up to 7.5 ton)

Removed the load bed floor as it was rotten.

Stunning vehicle - I’m very jealous. Maybe I can squeeze one more in the collection. Defender First Edition

Well they have good taste when it comes to choosing their accommodation!
Years ago when I had my 101 FC and I hadn't used it for a few weeks I found bats roosting in one of the pockets on the tilt where the ends of the rear canvas flap/window buckle into the sides. I disturbed them when undoing the flap and they flew back to the eaves of the garage which I think was their previous home. |
