Running an 08 puma 110 hardtop need to change rear springs can't tell what's currently fitted as so corroded but rear is very harsh most spring see on line are all heavy duty rarely load it up so wanted to fit something to take the crashing down a bit will td5 progressive work anybody
out there changed hard top to something softer any advice appreciated Iain Endeavour To Persevere |

I wonder if you have stock HD springs? I think general consensus is to use the 110 SW spring, (someone on here will know the part number), if you're after OE. Or use the Alive springs made by Eibach if you want something a little better. Not sure about how much difference there is between Td5 springs and TDCi apart from the latter no longer being 'handed'. They're both very cheap, so not the best, but there's a noticeable gain with the Alive set up. I suppose ultimate usage will impact your decision... Monsieur Le Grenadier

Old Man Emu do a softer spring but it comes with a small lift which may not suit. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

On my USW, I swapped the standard purple/brown springs for the dual rate white/green/green station wagon version, which are much more pliant when lightly loaded. The different weight of a hardtop means you wouldn't get exactly the same result but you would still see a benefit for not a lot of money. Darren
