I'm precious about my Def and don't like anyone working on it or driving it, but at 9yrs old I thought I'd get a few jobs done that I didn't want to do lying on my back on the drive. (buying a caravan towards the end of last year prompted these improvements, and allowed me to justify them to SWMBO)
So in April I got in touch with Ian at IRB to do the following work. 1/ Change the Clutch for LOF items I had already purchased 2/ Fit an Ashcroft Adaptor shaft 3/ Fit Glynn Lewis sumo bars, and Disco Steering Arm 4/ IRB tune I had never met Ian before, and I prefer to wait before I report results and recommend people. I can confirm that once you get hold of Ian you wont be disappointed he clearly knows his stuff. Due to C19 he collected and delivered my def to me on a trailer and the results were great, he even had it back twice to fine tune my map to match my requirements (Caravan Towing Torque) I though I would post now as I had reason to contact Ian in the week as my new clutch master cylinder had started to leak. This is where you test a supplier and I can confirm Ian came up trumps and changed the master cylinder without a quibble , in fact I now have a Willwood one at no extra cost. So would I use IRB again, without a doubt I would, in fact I'm saving to spend more money with them. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

Hi Caterham hope the work on the house is going well.
I met one of your near neighbours with a Red 90 today. I have just come back from Cornwall A30 - M5 - M42 managed 32mpg at a steady 55-60 mpg with the van on the back (1.6T plus Swift) I was only dropping out of 6th for the steeper hills on the A30. or for traffic and the roundabouts the difference in torque is like night and day to pre IRBd state. all good thanks for the recommendation.
