I would be investigating the oil leak, I don't think it's been leaking that long but check it out.

Thanks I’ll get it back to the garage I think. I wish I could locate the noise though in the meantime.

Perhaps the brake drum is on too tight. Maybe adjust it or the brake cable? I know mine occasionally tensions itself and makes a noise similar to what you described. I give the handbrake lever a good waggle and it does release it. Monsieur Le Grenadier
