As long as you don't go mad, you'll be fine to remove each prop-shaft in turn and, with the diff-lock engaged, be able to drive it on just the one remaining. Darren

Don't forget that with the rear prop removed you'll have no handbrake unless the centre diff lock is engaged.

Make sure your handbrake drum is tight. If it comes off it can do damage.
If you do the rear propshaft test do it with the handbrake drum on and off. The handbrake drum can cause vibration too. I needed a couple of washers on each bolt too on the handbrake drum before the nut as with not having the Prop in place the nut would have hit the non threaded shank of the bolt. So some washers on each bolt solved that issue.
IIRC they are an imperial size, sadly I can’t remember off the top of my head what it is. Personally I would then torque those nuts up exactly the same as if the prop was in place. And as mentioned you need the diff lock engaged to and the handbrake drum in place at all times. Go easy and treat it as a very temporary measure. I'm pretty sure you'll find they are 3/8" UNF (which takes a 9/16" AF spanner/socket size). |

I did the same to try and identify which axle/diff had all the slop in it. Turns out it was both (and probably the centre one to boot)
