When activated on the flame button it just beeps and spins the fan like five seconds then starts over. Guess the beeping
sound is when fan starts. Seems run smooth though. No fan bearing problem. Can i have bricked the onboard ecu when i tried to connect with webasto diagnose? Or is it some other known problem? Land Rover owner since 2003 2008 Disco3 manual 2000 Defender 130 td5 snorkel warn m6000 |

I have bled the intake with pressurized air so its free intake.
The webasto diagnostic was a china copy i borrowed and didnt work on my other webasto V either. I have not checked the fuel supply though. But is there a fuel pressure sensor in the thermo top? Otherwise it would have started up but not ignite burner? Seems like it have got caught in a loop. Land Rover owner since 2003 2008 Disco3 manual 2000 Defender 130 td5 snorkel warn m6000 |

Unless there's a major problem with the diagnostic unit I doubt its caused any damage. Does the other Webasto still work after attaching the Chinese unit to it?
Don't know if there's a fuel pressure sensor - may just be a flame sensor that detects the fuel burning. See the manual for this info on this - the glow plug/flame sensor combo does this apparently: https://www.butlertechnik.com/downloads/We...al_(2).pdf Item 2.2 Given the number of things that might be wrong - dosing pump for fuel delivery, a defective sensor, defective ECU, worn out glow pin, etc etc (ALL of which I have had to replace on my Eberspacher unit over the years) it might save you a lot of grief to pay a Webasto dealer to attach a proper Webasto diagnostic unit to it - once you have a read-out of the problem you can tackle the repair on your own. I suppose as a simple next step, remove the power supply and unplug completely, then try a restart. Is the dosing pump a separate unit or integral? If its separate check the power connections to it and that the fuel is flowing (Eberspacher fuel line is clear so you can see it flowing - is yours clear?) |
