Wiring Gremlins!
Evening all

Bit of a strange one, whilst doing my brake upgrade we discovered some wiring that has a grey plug fixed to the bulkhead just near to the brake booster and then goes off under the drivers side wing top, had been chaffing on the wing edge and one wire had completely broken (brown and white - pretty sure a power)
Other than my rear wiper not working I hadn’t noticed any issues elsewhere and it looked like it had been broken quite awhile.
Today I’ve repaired it (rear wiper still doesn’t work and blows its fuse the second you replace it even if wiper not on) and now my headlights are being funny. I used to get side lights on first switch and then main beam on second. I now get main beam on 1st and 2nd switch and my sidelight operated drl’s have stopped working altogether (they used to come on on 1st switch and then off on 2nd)
Hope that makes sense and any ideas? Lol
Anyone know what that brown and white wire is actually meant to power?

Cheers Rich

You have reconnected the Dim-Dip resistor which brings dim headlights on with sidelights. Disconnect the resistor which is on the inner wing just near where you made the repair. That should solve your DRL issue.
