You're happily sorted now, but just as a thought for others who might wander along. I did this recently and for these corners I used M5 stainless rivnuts, and black socket-head machine screws.
Of course you need a rivnut setter, but once you have one of those you'll find all sorts of uses for it. RR classic - fitted with 200Tdi 1984 RR classic - V8 with ZF auto box 1993 Discovery 300Tdi not to mention the minis and the Type 2 VW camper... |

Good to know though, things don't always go to plan as I am fast finding out. Had to order a new escutcheon bezel for the window winder, I broke it trying to get the damn thing back on! They are fiddly Other than that all seemd to go OK!
