Can't help too much, but a few years back I worked for a formula motor racing team, we used a plastic type interlocking floor, it was very hard wearing as we used to lift and relay it nearly every weekend / or several times a week during testing,
So can't be of much more use than that, but maybe worth checking along the lines of motor racing flooring company's ? We had outs specially made in team couloirs and even had the team name as part of it

Ring Buckingham Flooring in, would you believe it, Buckingham and speak to Gordon.
Tell him 'Rob sent me...' and ask about interlocking rubber floor tiles and, Bob's yer uncle, he'll see you right... At very least, he'll give you a price for supply (laying is easy and needs a sharp Stanley knife and a keen eye for an angle...) and you can cough politely or take him up on the offer. The floor tiles you are looking for are called ECOTILE , Quite expensive but I have fitted them in a foundry/Northampton Police Garage/and the Gym at Renault F1 HQ there are other supplier's but they are either rebranded Ecotile or cheap rubbish

I've recently done my garage. Nothing fancy at all, it's just a simple integral single but big enough for my race car.
For the floor we used https://duramat.co.uk and I'm very pleased with them. For the walls I used Sandtex external paint but it's a good finish. Wiring wise i went wall mounted conduit. Oh, and lots of LED lighting! I also fitted an electric roller door to replace the up and over to finish it off. my mate bought some of these for his garage, cost him £1800 to do his 40sqm garge
I used porcelain tiles in mine, cost me £500 |

I have the tiles in the photo you posted - in fact, I went for that combo (grey and black). They were easy to lay, have worn well and are great to wash down. I had a standard cement floor to lay them on and opted to make up a mixture of water and glue to spread over the concrete prior to installing the tiles. I did two coats to stop dust coming up for the cement, so far so good. I'm not sure if I bought them from these guys but this was the brand: https://www.diyyourgarage.co.uk/collections/flooring-solutions People have mentioned porcelain tiles; I have those in another garage space and the issue I find with them is that they are lethal when wet (driving a car in after it has rained) and if you get any oil on the grouted seems, it starts looking shabby really quickly. This summer I'm going to put the PVC tiles over the tiled section. |

When I did my dad's garage we used carpet tiles. He only uses it for storage however as the workshop is separate.
Still he puts his motorbike in there even if it's wet from riding and the floor tiles are holding up well. His car is parked on them too with an off cut of tile under each tyre to stop marks

Thanks everyone for your advice. I've enquired and will be placing an order after measuring up, trouble is, I've got to do half, then half, so more time and money! @AM94, they are what I'm getting, I have 2 mates that do damp proofing and flooring so I'll be pulling favours! Great to know it wears well, I'm opting for limestone green and black....it's nearly a Land Rover colour! @AJC I considered tiles but wanted a more chequered effect. A bit tarty, I know! Thanks for the link, some nice workshops! @meerrrkk, nice job, massive difference! @lifted, thanks for the recommend, I have a mate of mine has said he can get them, who's a carpet fitter usually. @rallysteve, that stuff looks fab, but seems a limited choice on colour option and expensive @daisy, I've worked for a couple of race teams and had the option of buying the temp awning/hospitality floor second hand, but as you'll know it will fill up with dust and crap quickly and I'll need to use plywood to spread the load of a jack etc, so that idea was squished. It is great stuff though. |

The problem I have with my garages is when they were built they didn't put a damp proof course in so if it rains a lot the floor starts getting wet
 does anyone know of a product to paint on that will seal the floor so I can then put something like the rubber mats down? Ray

When I get that far i will be re doing my fab shop floor with reclaimed or possibly surplus stock bricks dry laid on sand with a dpm over the existing nasty concrete. It will appeal to my aesthetic and be welder and grinder proof meaning no more welding in the rain! Its either that or thin cheap jewson slabs died to give a chequered pattern which may or may not be naff. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

Black jack paint its a dirty horrible job! 2 coats and then you should be good. Other option if the house is a keeper, dig the floor out and relay it, with some insulation....Be alot warmer to lay on  |

Thanks GREENI  my dad has had it from new.
It's a 930 club sport which he bought when he and mum lived in Germany. He doesn't use it much (60,000 KM from new  ) but it is lovely.
