Stalling issue
Just been out for a run in my puma and whilst driving the engine seemed to stall, oil light and heater plug light flashed on momentarily then went off and engine all OK. I took it onto the motorway for a good blast and all OK, however after coming off the motorway and after restart after being parked, it did it again. So, blast back home on the motorway and all OK again. It would therefore only seem to happen at low speed and low revs.

Any idea what could be causing this? It's a 2009 with roughly 58000 miles. I'm thinking a blockage through lack of use or similar? Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Have you a code reader ? If so are there any Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC’s) present ?

From reading similar posts the go to culprit for loss of power on a TDCi appears to be the VCV.

Water and dirty fuel are the enemy of the TDCi engine and look as if they cause a fair few problems.

I did read a post somewhere on the internet where a guy removed his VCV, cleaned it with brake cleaner, gave it a blast of WD40, reinstalled it and solved his erratic power issues.

Classic symptoms of the VCV playing up.

I think VCV too, often will cut out at lowest revs, say at a junction but then restart and do it again somewhere else. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
