That’s will clean up with a bit of emery cloth, it only looks like fretting corrosion.

Stub look workable where bearings sit, are there grooves where the seal goes on the shoulder or just shiny? Cheers

It’s just shiny, should the bearing fit tightly on the stub and not spin? 2016 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

The inner race shouldn't turn. The Mark's you have are from the previous one rotating or the race getting hot and the heat being transmitted through the inner race to the stub.
If it's not marked the stub or will be fine, it doesn't have to be cleaned off to function either. I would clean it off though. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

As a rule of thumb, if you can feel damage on the stub axle with your eyes shut replace it, if it is purely visual it should be ok, unless there is severe "blueing" indicating heat damage.
The inner races should slide smoothly on the stub with zero play or movement if waggled. Usually it is wear on the surface upon which the oil seal runs which determines the need for a new stub, in Series days when proper engineering still ruled the day these rings were renewable (and the wheel bearings were a lot bigger!) but in this era of "value engineering" the stub axle is one-piece and it's no longer possible just to do this. |
