Hey,
Yesterday I replaced my oil and oil filter on my 2015 2.2L... easy right? Well in this case, the mechanic who did the last service cross threaded my oil filter, after a few swearwords and bruised knuckled I got it out. Only problem is the thread came out of the block.. I managed to get out out of the filter relatively undamaged, I tidied up the threads and got it back in the block and was able to put a new filter in. Next time I service the car I want to replace the thread! Does anyone know what the part number is so I can organise a new one? Or has anyone had this before and replaced it with ease? You might get lucky by looking into your nearest trade warehouse for plumbing, gas or hydraulic line fixings. I'm not sure what pressure rating that coupling would be but it can't be anything special Just looks like a standard stainless or zinc plated male to male adaptor.
Good luck! Bit of googling and found these in the UK, item 00450 is m22x1.5mm to m22x1.5mm. I'd think you would have the same in Aussie! https://hydraulicmegastore.com/product/met...5mm-pitch/ |
