Don't you go blind watching that open top Jeep bouncing down that dirt road with Daisy at the wheel... You will be watching reruns of Wonder Women next.... When the lockdown is finished I can recommend a good Carpel Tunnel surgeon.... |

I have to own up to digging the pink and pastel colour suits and T shirts from the 80s box of everything Miami Vice recently. Every episode lived like it was yesterday. Sadly the black Ferrari and Scarrab have long been sold

I was reading an article on Digitalspy about Films of the 80's that would be seen to be politically incorrect in todays world.
Then the wife was watching some Channel 5 programme on chocolate where they were describing how the Cadburys advertising boffins pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable in their Flake TV advertising in the 70's and 80's.. I truly think that the young of the day are really losing out on so much gingez, was it the original pairing on Dukes of Hazard, or the latter two actors? I loved that programme as a Kid. If they show episodes of CHiPs, that would be an even bigger bonus...... but no Daisy Duke |

It's the original Bo and Luke but it's all about Daisy . Flash hasn't made an appearance yet and Daisy hasn't got her Jeep yet.
It's so funny the jumps they did with no seatbelts and no damage to the Charger even though you see the front wings crumple. Rosco always seems to hit a tree without going through the screen. |

I'd forgotten just how good 'Kojak' was. It's almost America's answer to 'The Sweeney' in parts.
If you want politically incorrect though, I can recommend the 1980 Vivian Stanshall film 'Sir Henry at Rawlinson End' starring Trevor Howard (last shown on British TV on election night 1987). The trouble is, you'll find some phrases stick in your mind for the rest of your life: 'If I had all the money I've spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink'. |

Discomog, it's not so much 'what' this thread is about, at least from the OP's POV, but 'who'. So happy to help out.

I do follow him, but he can be a bit weird I think. Probably same as a lot of celebrities. He was insisting people ignore the CV19 lockdown advice and come to the big event at his ranch, which backfired a bit. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I recently bought all the Porridge series for the grand total of £3.50 off ebay. They would never get away with some of the lines that Fletch comes out with today . Ronnie Barker at his best

Honestly, you don't have to go that far back. I've been watching reruns of early 'Waking the Dead' and there's lines and comments by Trevor Eve's character that wouldn't be said now. And that's just 2008ish. Monsieur Le Grenadier
