Hey CRT188- I have just done mine using the Buzzweld kit. Used a wire bush on a drill to clean it back to the metal and take all surface corrosion off. Products worked really well just make sure you mask off well.

Looks great!! I’m crap at this kind of stuff, what type of brush did you use? First time I’m actually trying to do anything on the truck myself , usually leave to the professionals |

You'll be fine, I'm very new to all this and I did mine a couple of days ago. I just sanded mine by hand with some 80grit sand paper and then sprayed it with the buzzweld 2 part crossmember kit. As previously said, just double check you have masked everything you don't want spraying

CRT Just used the Buzzweld kit - comes with the rust encapsulator spray can and then the black spray. I’m pretty new to it to - was the first big job I did- pretty easy and gives a great result! Good luck with it and post some pics Keswick green 2007 Defender 90 TD5
