A good morning on it today, gwyn track rod guard and sumo track rod fitted after the Ashcroft front diff had gone in.
Anyone know if you can run anti roll bars front with this guard. It physically fits, just not sure it has the space for functionality. Will ask Gwyn after weekend. Ashcroft shafts and cvs in joined with their drive members to keep the oil on and crud out. New discs, bearings and my old 110 calipers with Zeus pistons fitted along with chassis to caliper braided hoses from llama4x4 Click image to enlarge As you will see from pic 11year olds helping with the copper slip again! Need to adjust the tracking tomorrow and reduce the brake pedal free movement. Locker switches to wire in when my 2nd hand mss cubby turns up. I am quite pleased with it, it's coming along nicely. One slight lighting issue which I will post separate on. Now rear canopy fabrication work...... it will have to go to someone for that. Any recommendations in the sw? Fitted mss 2nd hand cubby yesterday and cb along with some cut outs for the locker switches, just need to finish wiring them up.
Raptor coating eventually arrived so prepared, primed and applied the load liner to rear tub. Typically after 3 bottles and one 8" section to go the gun jammed up, so the one messy finished bit I have is right at the tailgate on the bit that's not going to be covered! Just my luck I used a buzzweld primer then liner straight on top with schultz (?) Gun. Went only quickly and easily less gun binging up towards the end. Currently waiting for it to dry. Well, heated seats now fixed.
Slight prop vibration, the machine shop who shortened it didnt balance it very well it seems. Been to see various fabricators and vehicle is off over the weekend to have the conversion to full hard top done. About a weeks work. Will give them 2. Thank fully hes a very good friend and I trust him fully for the work. Been a busy week, have collected a 110 roof and an 88 roof. Both ribbed with early stronger galvanised gutter. These will be joined for the full roof to rear. Collected some series sides to, these will run back from c pillar for 8inches or so before tying into customers back coming up off the hi cap tub. Picked up some latches for the three rear up and over doors from Exmoor trim today along with a cubby box and two recovered 2nd hand seats, ebay specials. They were to replace the rear 60/40 but I think they will be going in the front and the fronts will be moved to the rear. Click image to enlarge regassed the air con to find the oil/dye on the floor the following morning, new condenser needed!
