I am working through book 2 of the complete piano player, But some of the songs are just too old for me, Never even heard of most of them in the book, They are from the beatles era, also i am not a fan of the beatles at all. Their pieces are just a pain in the arse to learn. Which is off putting if you dont like the band. I have spoken to my old music teacher and he said, dont waste any time on songs you do not like, just move on. Plenty of stuff to learn out there. So i am going to see how far we go with book 2 and look at book 3. i am reverting back to the songs i have learned so far and really are picking them up a lot better. Still need more practice at them. But i am getting there. Thumbs Up i want to look at Beegees music but i fear that i may buy stuff that's a little to far out of my reach.
I am still toying with the idea of buying this, after messaging the seller, and able to find a few quid to make him an offer.
Was really expensive back in the day! reason i want something more heavy duty is more piano sounds, The QS only has a couple of decent piano sounds.

My niece had an old copy of the complete piano player book 1 and then moved on to the letternote player website ( https://www.letternoteplayer.com/all-songs.php ) which was a good progression for a complete novice and she picked up some of songs quite quickly.

Used an old dinning chairs foam and and old car seat cover Laughing

It's not gonna win any prizes but I'm really pleased! Saved myself £40 on buying a new lid!

I'm stuck in sunny Essex with my mum, self isolating after spending the last few hours with my step dad. I've ordered the Lego Defender to see off some time when it rains, which it has done a bit this week. I won't bore you all with the build process as there are many excellent threads on this already. I'm looking forward to it arriving tomorrow and starting the build Thumbs Up

I have just order off a Bee Gees complete piano player book, so more music to learn and play, i am currently working at one piece and going back to the others in the other two books.
I am also about to make an offer on that synthesizer workstation for an upgrade. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

New music book arrived in the post, so i will be looking at that, ( bee gees) So once i have got this other piece i working at, i will be moving on to that one, I may even look at Piano book 3, just for the practice and skills. Just the fingering i need to work on, with some songs, But with me having small hands the stretches can be a bit much.
Also something maybe with me this weekend Whistle I may do a little thread on it, but not sure. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

My lockdown project. A mate of my dad's drunkenly bid on (and won) an ex Gatwick Airport, London taxi Rolling with laughter

He took delivery of it last week and I have been asked to give it a thorough check through and service - before he uses it.

So far I found; 1 out of 4 washer jets working, a fog light bulb out, one of the rear brakes slow to release, a couple of ball joint rubbers failed and the bushes worn in the top wishbone pivot (O/S).

Nothing too drastic, but some nice jobs to be plodding along with. It's quite nice to drive actually, if i actually fitted in behind the dash then I would consider one for a laugh Laughing

Oh and I forgot to mention, I think the front brake calipers are identical to defender vented fronts.

When I have the wheels off to replace the bushes then I'll upload some pictures Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

we used to have a couple of those years ago, a long with the later metro cabs, What is you dads mate going to do with it? Also speaking of drunk bids, when my mate was around mine a few years ago, we had a been out on a bit of a joyride. We were just finishing off setting up his ebay account with pay pal. Anyway we decided to have a few beers, and my mate had showed me what he had been watching on ebay. He was watching a LADA Riva estate, which was up for auction. So my pal decided to bid on it Laughing he placed a few bids on it but luckily the car had a reserve on it, Which he never met. God knows what he would have told his lass, if he won it! I said to him that would have made my year if you had won that! He said it would have gone straight down to the local scrap yard! His lass did see it on his bidding history and gave him a right old ear full! I was in too minds on messaging the seller, if he would wind my mate up about him winning the car Laughing Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
