Forth coming model year
Do you think they will introduce any extra body colours with the 2.2 tdci engine?Can't wait to see the sales blurb for the 2.2 engine. They must be wracking their brains to see how they can put a positive spin on it's introduction. Still if it performs as well as the present unit and there are no reliability issues can't see anyone complaining if they buy one. So long as the vehicle is reliable I don't see any buyers being bothered which unit is under the bonnet. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I was told that the 2.2 is being introduced as Ford are changing the transit engine to the 2.2 to comply with euro-5 emissions, and as they supply LR the engine it's why the Defender will take the 2.2 with tweaks here and there to give the same/similar output?

Obviously I'm open to be corrected Confused Sweep

I cant recall - they were changing some colours anyway - binned many of the dark colours for a different colour based on new pigments - im sure there is a post on here with it in.

You can pay them to spray it any colour if you have enough £ Mike

Changes in colour and body paint are temporary due to Fukushima! 2012 will be same as 2011, only change are Euro5 (mandatory now) and change to 2.2 PUMA, because 2.4 is discontinued. Furtheron, daylight LED headlight addition is confirmed (damn EU ...), but else unchanged. Never forget: cars have owner, Landrover have field service personnel.

No colour changes are a fixture - they wont be reintroducing colours (well they may be one or two) - There are some other colour changes across the fleet...like Bali was going in the range although it went due to japan and wasnt a defender colour Mike
