General Grabber X3 285/75R16 - Any lift required on my 110?
Sorry for another tyre post but I am finding mixed answers via the search! I've been offered an upgrade to the General Grabber X3 as the tyres I ordered are out of stock for a few weeks. I'm looking for a definitive answer to whether these tyres fitted to 16x8 modular with an Offset : ET + 8mm would need a lift?
if so I can ask for a smaller tyre fitted. If so what size would you recommend?

Thanks again in advance.

I have 285 75 r16 tyres on 16 x 8 ET0 wheels fitted to the 110, there's no clearance issues with standard height springs so you should be fine Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop

They will fit without a lift and for gentle off roading and tarmac will be fine. You may find tyres rub return edge on rear mud guards on full rear axle flex though. Non arb. Cheers

Got my wheels and tyres fitted today, love the look now. They do however catch on full lock so I'll need to study forum posts as to how I adjust the steering stops.

It depends on what you are indending to do with your truck.

On my previous 110 I had 255/75/16's. So same height, a little narrower.

I also had a two inch lift. The picture show the tyre snuffed into the wheel well. A wider 285 would have rubbed on the inner wheel arch and may have pushed out the outer wheel arch.

A 285 also drags along the sides of ruts more than the 255.

Again it depends what you are planning to use your truck for.

Good luck
