Great idea and if it was closer to home I would attend, but sadly too far for me to head South. I am sure there will be a good few interested though

Come on it's the same distance away for me, about 3h driving through mid Wales to get there.
Not sure you're going to get somewhere more central than that. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

Could be worse, in Essex there are never any events or meet ups... not much to explore... I might have been up for this but I’m a rifleman myself and don’t own a scattergat ... If it was closer would have gone just to say hi I'm on IG: https://www.instagram.com/osloblue42/ Current: TD5 '110 "Lucinda" Thread here: https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic62562.html |

I'd be up for it, but I do live only 8 miles from the ground

I think it's a great idea, but unfortunately not so practical for me when I already have 12 days out this season - taking an extra day to break some clays with a 6 hour round trip is a bit much for me.
Thank you for making the effort to organize though |

Maybe if there were a few of us “southerners” that were thinking of going we could buddy up in one car and share fuel etc ?
Just an idea like |

I should point out the West Midlands was merely a suggestion because it's fairly central to the country. If there's more interest from darn south then it can easily be relocated. Equally if there's more interest oop north then it can be shifted up north.
Was only a suggestion... Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |

Wouldn’t Doveridge be a tad better, easier access off the a50 between Donnington m1 and Stoke m6?
I’d say the facilities would be better, more parking for the line up of Defenders, as well as it having grouse butts... always fun to line 3-4 people up. |

Before we start arguing or proposing new grounds why not just see what kind of interest there is? Ed

Sorry came across as much blunter than I intended it to.
Might as well gather interest first and then see where people are from a nominate a ground from there. People seem to be disregarding it because of the location I suggested initially, which seems a little backwards. Ed 82 Hotspur Sandringham 6x6 95 Defender 110 300Tdi |
