LRO show Peterborough 2020
Evening all, just a quick question obviously things are changing weekly does anyone have any idea ref the Camping aspect of this weekend, do you think it's likely to go ahead or will they reduce camping numbers to maintain some sort of social distancing or do you think it's too soon to say ?

Can't see anything to say it's not going ahead or anything in the last magazine.

Cheers.......

I think it’s highly unlikely it will go ahead, there a couple of virus spikes expected one in August and one in September.

I thought about buying tickets, if by some miracle the virus was too disappear then tickets would sell out fast.

Good question, the LRO 2020 advert was in my latest LR mag so it was either too late to pull the ad or they're still planning to run it in some capacity? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I think with all these events the organisers don’t want to voluntarily cancel. They‘ll hang on until they get a firm instruction from the powers that be to cancel, then they can fall back on their insurance to cover the losses. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I would say that that is more than likely the case. Although I doubt they'd get an insurance payout - our (and I believe most) bussiness interruption insurance doesn't cover pandemics Sad 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Some one I know on the council in Peterborough said the show ground plans to stay closed until next year?

Tbh i dont think it would be worth going in any event.

Minimal washing facilities, large volumes of people, a lot of hands on contact with products, minimal distance from staff and people from all over the country.

Without meaning to be rude i cant imagine half the sellers there will be keeping up with the level of cleaning and hygine required to keep the virus at bay. Instagram @defender_ventures
