Exhaust fitting -any tips
Just about to fit middle pipe and box also back box. It was difficult enough getting the old bits away from the hangers so I am wondering if there is an easy way when fitting the new bits to the hangers as the hanger holes seem too small to take the shrouds on the exhaust bits. Jeff

Hi Jeffersj,

I put the rubber hangers in some hot water to soften them up and make them a bit more pliable.
Also use a bit of lube like vaseline, on the exhaust the metal hangers have a tab on them, bend those flat push them through the rubbers and the straighten them back up. Hope that helps.

thanks Tommy. The hangers seem to be held in place on the bar with a washer, is this washer held with a split pin. Its not obvious. Jeff

Top tips Tommy although did not need to soak in hot water. Greased rubber and inserts and they went on easier than they came off Thumbs Up All fitted successfully. Jeff
