center console switches
hello all,
looking to upgrade my tdi dash to to a TD5 (2002+) and have most of the needed pieces. need to get some switches to fit the center console, but TD5/TDCI switches are not available stateside. Do the disco 2 switches fit? There are plenty those in the scrap yards and wiring is easy to find as well. Alternatively, what is my best option for wiring harness plugs. Thanks.

looking for windows, work lamps, driving lamps, rear wiper, and maybe a general auxiliary on/off. see plenty on ebay if that's the route i need to go. thanks.

I just finished retiring a friends 200tdi 90 with the TD5 dash and used these for switches and connectors.

Connectors

Heated seat switches, on/off action, a lot of others are momentary. Will fit in upper row

Or connectors from this forum's site shop... Whistle

Disco2 switches do fit, they are exactly the same body.

What you will find is that the switches are only meant to fit in one location, this can be solved by removing the "keyway" on the switch body when you come to fit.

If you can source what you want from the Disco2 options then great, then order the remaining ones from the UK Smile  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

thanks gents. was not even aware of all what was on the shop here. ill have to check shipping to US. Ill explore the D2 situation nearby and will likely get the rest from your side of the world. It's where my TD5 stuff came from anyway. Appreciate the info. Would love if the Mud dash replaces and allows for carlings, but dont just want an overlay.

I have a mud dash in a 300tdi, does look good but having just done the td5 dash, that looks good a# well. The one downside of the td5 dash is the proper switches aren’t necessarily on/off which I wanted for the one I did 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

Rear fog, rear wiper, I forget which others. most seem to be momentary to another relay but I was already fighting with turbo diesel chassis loom, 200tdi engine, late 300tdi loom and td5 dash so wanted the easy option of on/off 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

thanks, good info there. I'm in a similar situation. I have 91 D90 w/ 200tdi, so will be integrating that harness to the TD5 dash panel. I will have to find what switches can be adapted.

You can easily swap the caps between switch bodies, e.g. to make a latching fog light switch.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Im going to purchase a bunch of YUF500150LNF from the local dealer in the states. Only about $6 a piece. Will look for some caps to find different options.

Anyone have the PN for the correct fitting electric window switches?

Is there a central door lock button? Bought some puma doors and they have central locking.
