Skye and Aran is on my tick list, if you do not mind me asking how was the journey, I have been to Scotland three times in my Land Rover, always at a steady 60 mph, never to the North though. 1990 200tdi conversion 90 |

As i love driving it was great, i think the main thing is that make sure you have got plenty of time to enjoy the journey and have a good look around I found that the roads and directions were very good and people kept to the speed limits and as you, i kept around the 60 mph as it is a comfortable speed for Millie I have found that on any journey that i do, i drive for about 2 hours and then take a break and keep on going like that until you reach your destination 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Sorry we couldn't catch up for that cup of tea Clayton, but it does look like you had a really good trip - and some amount of miles!
When you wrote about being in Glencoe, and heading for Wick, my "big miles" alarm started to twitch!! Doing miles on the A9 south of Inverness has its own challenges, but doing the A82, and then the A9 north of Inverness as well ... kudos I'll put the kettle on for the return trip!
