Just looking at the configurator and the MPG figures are around 30mpg for both the diesels, so expect 25 in real world. And as for the spec you get for the price it's hilarious.
If JLR were on the stock exchange you'd be seeing some graphs going down faster than a downhill skier. They've recovered some lost D5 sales to those who were hanging on to their D4s. They may have recovered some sales from those who bought the last of the old Defender as a status symbol, but it's going to struggle to sell to the majority of former Defender buyers and I really don't see what new markets will exist for them 54 Freelander modded for mud 2008 D3 SE 2010 90 XS SW 1978 88 Series 3 undergoing surgery with a new owner 2007 90 County Truck Cab - gone 2006 D3 SE - gone 2004 Freelander Sport - gay 1999 Disco V8 ES rotted to bits |

The irony of the people likely to afford that being the people least likely to make use of the additional off roading gear. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews |

Any word on whether the activity key will be available for it? That was one of the greatest features JLR came out with in the last few years. It would be a shame if they're advertising it with all these adventure packages and options yet you still have to carry your expensive and delicate key fob while you're doing all these active pursuits.
I had the activity key on my Jaguar F-Pace. Bloody brilliant. Used it several times a week- running, SUP, kitesurfing, swimming, never had issues and never had to worry about losing or breaking my fob. |

Is it self-cleaning? All these pictures of Defenders travelling through mud with clean body panels. The Auto Car bloke stands next to a 90 with filthy wheels, but not a spot anywhere else!

Did I hear correctly, think he said the body colour was not paint, but a body wrap?
Not sure if that is good or bad. The local body shop will not have any experience with it so all repairs will have to be via dealers, but could be an afternoon for a change of colour, peel old one off and wrap up with new. Quite astounded, as it's worse than even I thought it would be. It looks...odd. I still can't understand why it's taken JLR so long...to produce a mundane 4x4. And I'm not even going to mention the crazy price tag. That alone rules me out, even if it looked good.
I will wait for the Ford Bronco Click image to enlarge Now left. |
