If this is the start of redevelopment of the site, this could take years of master planning so it may not quite be the end of the Peterborough LR Show yet.
It doesn't surprise me as the site is hemmed in against houses and it has great access onto the A1 so is very desirable.
As there has not been an East of England Agricultural Show for years, the 'Charity' haven't really got any need for the site other than a venue which they can hire out.
Saying all of the above, planners may chuck it out as its not as if Peterborough is short of development land. This may be seen as an asset for the City which the council will not want to lose. Or it may be be the people in charge have lots of sway over the planners and the whole scheme is rubber stamped in double quick time
Is there still a speedway team in Peterborough? If so, they will need to find a new home.
