MMmmm Bikes - now you're talking!!
We ride bikes - not fast but for long distance touring ....we took 6 yrs off and rode round the world ... bore you all with the tails one day! So that means that we've got 2 hand built touring bikes, which are our pride and joy, with a host of parts built to last and low tech as possible. we work on the KISS principle ! We've also got 2 campy tricked road bikes for the warm summer days - mine is a 1957 carlton frame with a chorus 10sp & J's got a 1971 Holsworth frame with an Athena 9 group set + racing triple. We've also got a Kirk magnisum frame training bike with Shinamo 106 group set for the winter. Our MTB's are a pair of Mongoose, J's has all the bells and whistles while mine is a bit more basic... Ive posted some photos in my gallery for our touring bikes but here are the MTB's Click image to enlarge enjoy the down hills![/img] Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Good video I had to press mute (like I do with all other MTB videos) as the music really isn't my cup of tea Is Jacob's Ladder also a Green Lane? |

No, the actual ladder isn't but some of the loop was a green lane. The ending of the Video down to the gate with the water crossing is part of a green lane. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Ah, it was the ending of the video that I recognised.
What do you use to strap the video camera to the bike/helmet? I did the full Kitchener Trail at Sherwood Pines for the first time a few weeks back. It was brilliant! I thought I was doing quite well, overtaking quite a few other cyclists, but then I got overtaken by what must have been a pro at a ridiculous speed (literally made me look like I was going backwards), however, he swiftly ended up over his handlebars 10 yards a head of me . Luckily he was ok Really keen to do it again. I just have no where near the stamina/fitness of some of the guys though, so feel a bit of a muppet when I get left for dead! |

The camera is a ContourHD camera. It comes with mounts.
Incredible quality for something that is tiny. The newer ones even have GPS tracking too. http://www.contour.com Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Here's my MTB as promised, it's a total custom built 853 Pro Team tubed steel frame with all Chris King hubs and headset....Avid Ultimate V-brakes, it now sports an XTR single c/set and full mudguards. It is in Land Rover Atlantic Green and I have since rattle canned it matt black , because it got copied...David Harman from Eurosport copied it and bought the same car as me at the same time !!
No gears, no suspension and little change from £3k
|

MUDGUARDS!!!!!!! - EEEEEEUURRGGGHHHH!
Nice machine though! Update from me, Lumo Snot Green has only 1 wheel at the moment! Had a nasty brush with a large tree stump. Full forward sumersalt later (unintentional!) and the rear wheel is D shaped.......... 3 week wait for a new one to be sprayed up. Which might mean it'll stay behind for the Lake's trip I got coming up! Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |
