MMmmm Bikes - now you're talking!!
We ride bikes - not fast but for long distance touring ....we took 6 yrs off and rode round the world ... bore you all with the tails one day! Whistle
So that means that we've got 2 hand built touring bikes, which are our pride and joy, with a host of parts built to last and low tech as possible. we work on the KISS principle ! Thumbs Up
We've also got 2 campy tricked road bikes for the warm summer days - mine is a 1957 carlton frame with a chorus 10sp & J's got a 1971 Holsworth frame with an Athena 9 group set + racing triple.
We've also got a Kirk magnisum frame training bike with Shinamo 106 group set for the winter.
Our MTB's are a pair of Mongoose, J's has all the bells and whistles while mine is a bit more basic...

Ive posted some photos in my gallery for our touring bikes but here are the MTB's

Just pulled off a minor coup - my Elixir CR brakes needed bleeding constantly so got my mechanic mate to return them (they are at least a year old - maybe even two). There is a known issue. They mucked up the delivery so instead of a repaired set, O got a BRAND NEW set of XOs brakes which cost not far off twice the price!!

They are super bling!

Anyway they also sent rotors. Managed to fit the brakes fine (that for me is impressive!) - I even shortened the hoses. However one rotor bolt was VERY soft and rounded off. Hacksawed it off hoping to saw a line across the "stub" and screwdriver it out - it disintegrated. So I know have five decent bolts and one stub. Obviously I want to remove it - any ideas? My mechanic mate (away for two weeks at least) should be able to do it but I'd rather do it myself if I can.

Other than that, they are working very nicely! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.

Good video Thumbs Up I had to press mute (like I do with all other MTB videos) as the music really isn't my cup of tea Laughing

Is Jacob's Ladder also a Green Lane?

No, the actual ladder isn't but some of the loop was a green lane. The ending of the Video down to the gate with the water crossing is part of a green lane. Craig Rogers

Ah, it was the ending of the video that I recognised. Thumbs Up

What do you use to strap the video camera to the bike/helmet?

I did the full Kitchener Trail at Sherwood Pines for the first time a few weeks back. It was brilliant! I thought I was doing quite well, overtaking quite a few other cyclists, but then I got overtaken by what must have been a pro at a ridiculous speed (literally made me look like I was going backwards), however, he swiftly ended up over his handlebars 10 yards a head of me Embarassed. Luckily he was ok Shocked

Really keen to do it again. I just have no where near the stamina/fitness of some of the guys though, so feel a bit of a muppet when I get left for dead!

The camera is a ContourHD camera. It comes with mounts.

Incredible quality for something that is tiny. The newer ones even have GPS tracking too.

MUDGUARDS!!!!!!! - EEEEEEUURRGGGHHHH! Razz

Nice machine though! Bow down

Update from me, Lumo Snot Green has only 1 wheel at the moment! Had a nasty brush with a large tree stump. Full forward sumersalt later (unintentional!) and the rear wheel is D shaped.......... 3 week wait for a new one to be sprayed up. Which might mean it'll stay behind for the Lake's trip I got coming up! Crying or Very sad Craig Rogers
