Now I know Brexit has been done to death on this forum, however, this thread though fundamentally triggered by a Brexit decision is about something a lot more disturbing. I speak about several members of parliament today asking because of the threat of proroguing parliament are asking that everybody should be out on the streets demonstrating, or show your support for democracy by demonstrating to stop the coup and defend democracy.
This sort of rhetoric from several of our MP’s is dangerous as it gives every nutter in the country a charter to cause mayhem and civil unrest. We saw the peaceful protest re the ‘Poll Tax’ and what that led to. Shame on these MP’s. Democracy is not about demonstrating on the streets that is the rule of the mob and is very dangerous. Yes of course it is. Though in today's climate and the hot-headed fever that some have in their opinions of Brexit I can only see mass demonstrations ending badly in a them against us scenario For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I think that it gives an accurate impression of just how second-rate and defective our current politicians actually are. In all honesty the lot currently in Westminster make me ashamed to be British, and emigration (to a country with decent off-roading of course) is looking increasingly appealing.
I find it difficult to articulate the full extent of the utter disdain I have for almost all of our current politicians. |

If you fancy emigrating to a decent country with great green lanes (they're still roads, so it wouldn't strictly be 'off roading' ), I can heartily recommend the Isle of Man.

On one hand i understand members of parliament are betraying their constituents and the nations brexit wishes a betreyal of democracy. He is ensuring that the wished of the general public are carried out and the referendum results are upheld. Attempting to break the deadlock.
on the other hand Johnson is unelected by the nation - only voted in by conservative members, and such a move threatens the democracy of the parliament. My conclusion is that he is doing what must be done. I'd actually be interested in going to the demonstrations.
