Driving on the right in the UK
Having had my van's door mirror destroyed by a moron in a VW van a few months back who was well over on my side of the road (as my dashcam proved), am I alone in noticing that an awful lot of people seem to be driving right on or over the centre line these days?

I wonder if it's due to vehicles generally getting wider and drivers simply can't judge the width of them. Whatever it is, it's something I've obviously been rather aware of recently.

Has anyone else spotted this trend?

Cars are really wide these days. I haven't calibrated to SWMBO's 2012 Honda yet during the last year and find myself hitting potholes when trying to avoid them. It's a bit unnerving as I like to feel i'm better than that, having grown up in a rural area where you HAVE to know the width of your car in lanes.

But yes, last year I had someone come around a corner bridging the central line - it was close... I think as well some people drive wide to avoid hitting the drain covers on some B roads, made worse now by the wider cars.

Plus at the moment it's the holidays so there are lots of drivers in unfamiliar locations.
