Free!...well tyres...just need your attention..not free.
Ok having searched (and read) loads of posts on the forum re. tyre sizes and wheels I need to ask.....

Currently I have boost alloys with 235 85 16 Grabber TRs, if I change to 265 75 16 is this just a straight swap on these wheels with no danger of rub or funky tyre wear?

Often bump stop adjustment is mentioned, is this something a decent tyre fitting company would do as a matter of course or would I have to ask them to check them?

Please send any advice/insults my way! Confused

2mm less diameter and yes, 5 minutes with a spanner to adust the steering stops. You may find, as I did, that the standard steering stop setting gave loads of room so I tweaked them a bit to improve the turning circle. Thumbs Up

And remember to leave 20mm clearance between the tyre and radius arm on full lock Thumbs Up

Ok so got another question. Money is tight so is there any significant advantage going to the 265 size or should I just stick at 235 and be happy with the cash saving? Thinking of Discoverer STT, BFG MT, or similar? Prices seem to be about £20 a corner less in the 235 size.

265/75 just looks a bit more purposeful than the 235/85 I think, no other real benefit that I can think of although I guess the wider footprint could help on very soft ground or sand. Andy

But I guess my vain side might prevail and as Andy says I'll end up going for the "more purposeful" look!
