Better with but sensors and mud can be a problem off road, affecting TC when you need it most!

I chose not to have it, mainly because of various tales of woe regarding misshaps attributed to ABS off road on rane rover etc. As this doesnt seem to be a problem (perhaps old stories were exagerated or the product improved) I think perhaps i may have taken the option had i browsed the forums prior to ordering.
I also did not want traction control I stand by my decision regarding traction control If it aint broke its just waiting. |

And yet - traction control is brilliant tool off road, about as good as you can get without a locking diff. Mike

TC is great when it is working, not much good when orange light comes on half way up steep slopes and you loose traction due to an error in the system! Thank god diff lock is stilll there.

This has been dicussed before, and I stand by my previous comments, ABS and TC are great most of the time, shame theres not a switch to turn TC off though for those times you dont want it. Whats broken now ?

Or worse your in a D3/RRS/FFRR/F2 and it fails - unless your fortunate to have a locking diff as your option. I did have to drag a d3 down a track when its height sensor had failed and it had sat down in the middle of a wood in some ruts! Interesting, heavy aswell I think though, i remember how to drive without it - if i have it its a plus, i dont drive it asif ive got it though Mike |

At the risk of doing a subject to death if they had offered a rear (or front and rear) locker as an option id have gone for it, but traction control no. If it aint broke its just waiting.
