Wich oil for the R380

Hi folks,
Sorry if the question has been asked before:
Is there a technicle reason why the earliest handbooks for the Td5 Defender has the Dexron2D oil for the R380 gearbox and the later ones says the MTF94 oil to be use for the main gearbox ( R380)? -99 Td5 90 CSW

They decided that mtf94 was better than the previous atf!

Though several on here, and I think Ashcroft, have returned to recommending dexron....

2006 Defender 110 Td5 USW Zermatt Silver

There are far better oils for the R380 than MTF94. Talk to Opie oils (site sponsor. You get discount)
