this could perhaps have gone under the heading general however as its a tdci I thought that where I'd post the question incase there is a difference.
as I've got a 110 xs cws with central I suspect I know the answer but I'm not sure. all doors open and close off the remote fob no problems however........ if I use the key on the drivers door when all doors are open.....what should happen ? |

All the doors will lock unless this has been disabled in the 10AS.

The movement alarm at least does not activate when you lock it with the key, I suspect it doesn't set it at all.
I've got a problem with one of the rear doors at the moment, doesn't lock or unlock automatically, will have to go to dealers for warranty fix. |

As long as key mobilise and key disarm are enabled in the 10AS settings page then the key will disarm an alarm set with the fob. When locking the car with the key only, it only activates the CDL with no immediate immobilisation until the passive immobiliser kicks in after about 5 mins from the key fob being removed from the detection range of the Transducer coil. When locking with the fob, this sets the alarm as per the settings saved and initiates the immobiliser immediately.
So locking with the key only operates the CDL until the passive immobiliser kicks in. Click image to enlarge |
