This is tricky to reach. I have not had to do this to my TD5 yet, but a fellow club member has successfully removed the front connection by removing the inlet manifold. The rear connection is a lot easier.
A nuisance, I know, but probably a good opportunity to clean out the manifold at the same time. Also the EGR valve if it's still in place, plus the MAP sensor. Cheers, Lionel |

Thanks,
I am not sure anymore but I think I had the manifold off when changing the fuel pressure regulator. But still could not get to the front connection. I have no egr anymore and I clean the MAP regularly. The intercooler and the manifold probably can use a clean again, however without the egr it is just oily not a thick layer of black .... I am thinking off just carrying a spare piece off hose and some clamps as a back-up and replace the current hose every few years. That is a 10 minute job instead of putting an original part back on the engine.
