Welcome aboard.
Rust proofing would be my first job. Although from the previous owner's pampering I suspect that may have been covered. |

Full service. So ALL oils. Gbox Tbox, both diffs, included, and check what comes out of them for quantity and debris. New fuel filter as people don’t appear to like changing them. New injector harness and gasket is a must. Top up swivels. Grease all joints on prop shafts. When you do oil remember to change both filters, again people don’t appear to know, or like to change the rotary filter.

This is good advice, one more thing... Change your brake and clutch fluid as well. Everyone seems to forget these important fluids in a new purchase. Assuming exporting fluids etc doesn’t have customs implications try forum sponsor Dan at Duckworths landrovers or Opie oils both are first class to deal with and will have all you need 2015 HT XS 90

Check the gaiters of the ball joints for tears (Fulcrum ball joint steering rod and tracking rod ball joints).
I recently changed most of the bushes (150k km) They weren't very worn, but I seized the opportunity when I had the availability of an equipped workshop and I must say that suspension feels a bit firmer. It's a lot of work though. Some relatively cheap mods which each can be done in a couple of hours and which are really great: - If you have a 15p/post 2002 Td5, then you can add cruise control cheaply - intermittent wipe relay - a headlight relay loom (search for boomslang) which will keep you from burning the contacts in your headlight switch (If it hasn't been done yt by the previous owner, since you're in Sweden) Lights become a bit brighter too, especially when combined with... - ...crystal headlights (make sure you order the right ones if you have a LHD) with Osram Nightbreakers - Bosch aerotwin wipers - I'm about to install a Landreiziger stepless electronic heater switch which offers more speeds than off, a bit, a bit more and noisy as hell.It does involve disconnecting the valve of the heater air inlet. It will remain open, so you might want to take that into consideration before deciding. Dutch company Landreiziger has some nice kits for most of the electrical modifications mentioned above. If you like to spend more then Ashcroft ATB's are nice and probably quite useful in snow and slippery surfaces. If you plan to go camping a lot, then gullwing windows are absolutly great. Enjoy your 90 and the wonderful Td5 sound! J Antares Treadwell, a MY06 110 Td5 in Chawton White |
