Can you name yourself after your town/village?
Or a nearby hill? Dumyat? (maybe not!) Forth Valley Builders (is that name taken)? Just my ideas. Also if you want a web presence, think of something that does not yet exist (ideally your company name) and register the domain? I'm not really wanting wanting linked to just one town I though long and hard about that
I'm not wanting to hide where I am based however I'm not wanting to be stuck to one area forth valley builders gives you a better scope, however it is taken I see vans in Falkirk with that name. I never thought it would be so hard lol. Last edited by Oldyellar on 18th Jun 2019 6:04pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Think of something different that will make you stand out and people remember your company name, so that in a years time and they need a builder they will think of you.
The famous one is the Indian builders who said on their van "You have tried the cowboys now try us" I remember that from years ago 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

A mate of mine was a small builder.
He struggled with anything over 5 foot. |

Braveheart Building Services? (though that didn't really end well for him....)
Monument Building Services? (gives you a nice silhouette for your logo..?) Forth and Clyde Building Services? Kerse Building Services ( thinking of the Kerse of Stirling - but don't know exactlyy where you are?) It's one of these things that's important... but not important. I'd have thought that quality of work/service/word of mouth would count for a lot, especially if you've been in business and have some 'good rep' and happy customers behind you. ..or 'roofers and builders' where I've used 'Building Services' above. RR classic - fitted with 200Tdi 1984 RR classic - V8 with ZF auto box 1993 Discovery 300Tdi not to mention the minis and the Type 2 VW camper... |

I always like business names with the proprietor’s name in the title. It gives a sense they are proud of their work. I hate anything like A1 building services etc. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
