I've never had any problems like that with mine.
Not all snorkels are created equal. Much larger pipework than most, much better under the bonnet, and no cutting required:- Click image to enlarge |

I had a safari snorkel fitted for years and never had any problems with the MAF sensor. I run a pretty good tune as well so it sucks pretty hard, so hard that the silicone pipe i had fitted for a while used to collapse under the pressure.
Have you had it plugged in properly as the EGR can sometimes cause various misleading faults. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html Instagram - @r22oyp Roy |

I've never had a single problem with mine at all with a Safari, are you sure your MAF isn't on its way out?
EGR can sometimes affect it, with readings as well. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

had a similar problem with mine. it ended up being the EGR. although I couldnt see much wrong with it. I changed the MAF, same fault appeared. Then changed the EGR and has been fine since

I think I'll have to give that a try. Hopefully cleaning the ERG will do the trick |
