When you're at a standstill, is this at traffic lights etc, having just pulled up and depressed the clutch or engaged neutral? If so, it'll still be spinning. Same happened to me, and eventually it would stop. Or it would stop if I pulled up but applied the handbrake. But if by standstill, you mean paused before pulling away again, (Junction, lights, roundabout etc), still hear it... Monsieur Le Grenadier

The handbrake isn't still spinning if you're at a standstill. It's attached to the gearbox. Darren
