This is my setup, installed 60.000km ago and still perfect (my defender has 120.000 km now, 180CV and 500 Nm since 2010)
It's the transit 4x4 clutch, a lot more stronger than the lastest LR. Here in Italy there are more than 20 happy defender now with this clutch Main pump: - sachs P/N 6 284 600 602 CLUTCH KIT: - -Sachs P/N 3 000 950 727 SLAVE: - LR068979 slave - LR068981 JUNCTION - LR068982 Control Valve see (with google translator) here http://www.africaland.it/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=74203 Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

4x4overlander has sent Clutchfix clutches around the world, including Africa and Australia along with Europe.
Currently have 5 sat on our warehouse floors to be despatch abroad tomorrow. As for hearing bad things about Clutchfix that is not our experiences. OK Ben sometimes has to run out to get fresh milk when I turn up demanding a cup of tea. If that is the worst thing have to say about Clutchfix then that is not too bad Ben has been dealing with clutches since he was a small boy running around in short trousers. James has been dealing with clutches since he left school. Not sure about Mark and Liam but they have been around clutches for a long time. they do not do just Land Rover clutches, I know they do commercial vehicles, such as fire engines and mix on site concrete lorries. Vintage or commercial, PSV is no problem for Clutchfix. My Clutchfix clutch was fitted 25,000 miles (roughly 40.000 kms.) ago - no problems at all so far, and, as a bonus, it's lighter than the original. No towing though.

thanks for your replies!
I have also thought about LOF clutches, I think it all comes down to which clutch has the better springs as this seems to be the problem for me.. Has anybody else than dgardel fitted a transit 4x4 clutch? I thought this was a good solution too until I heard that the transit clutch is pretty hard to use when it comes to pedal force.. |

Daniele said that there were 20 others in Italy using the same clutch, happily, so I would be inclined to take him at his word there. He's a straight-up guy and extremely knowledgeable and experienced.
It also seems unlikely that Ford would fit something too heavy on such a widely sold vehicle as the Transit. |

Yes, more than 20 Defendere here with transit 4x4 clutch!!!
A lot of us has more than 100.000km now with this clutch and I can affirm that this is the definitive solution at a right price with OEM parts. My post does not want to take away business opportunities from the sponsors present here, it just wants to tell my experience. When I had clutch problems, there were no alternatives on the market Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Yes Transit 4x4 clutch is actually much more "massive" than the latest Land Rover LR072972 version (150HP engine quoted 1700,00€ + VAT ) or LR048731 (quoted 296,00€ + VAT) and it ia a P&P mod with full OEM parts Click image to enlarge Discovery 5 td6 HSE Stornoway Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition IID Pro MV License |

Our 110 has got the clutchfix unit in off Brendan, the old one literally fell out when changing. Had no problems whatsoever but once changed couldn't get it bled! So put a new genuine master cylinder in & bled without a problem. Think it was pulling air in through the seals.
