Not 205's, it'll look under-tyred, other 2 options sound ideal.

205 are way to small to look good
7,50 look a bit narrow 235 85 16 or 265 75 16 fill the arches and offer what i think is a sensible look. these are 235 85 16 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Whilst they will physically fit, 265's are technically too wide for 6.5inch Wolf wheels. Better to stick to 235's or your existing 7.50's. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but I don't think the latter are too narrow. They also perform very well off-road. Darren

Thanks folks. The wallet will certainly appreciate re-using my existing tyres but I have a hankering to leave them on the standard rims for winter (there's the odd bit of rust on them now) and getting new ones for the Wolfs for the middle of the year.
The 205s had the advantage of being by far the cheapest Michelins but if they'll look daft, I'll see what I can find for the 235s. Off-road isn't somewhere my van ventures I'm afraid, although I have done my share of motorcycle green-laning over the years. But then of course that's not off road either. |

I’ve got 265’s on mine and they fit fine - tyre depot manager @ National Tyres also said the size was fine and there are also a few Scottish Power Defenders round here running 265’ BFG’s on Wolfs.
Or you could go 255/85/16 and gain a bit more ground clearance |

Unless you're looking for an excuse for some shiny new big fat tyres, i'd advise sticking with the Latitude Cross that you already have. They're a quality tyre, excellent on road (apparently pretty good off road too) and ideal size for the rims. |

All I can say is that the BFG website states a minimum width of 7 inches for 265 tyres. 255's are ok, though. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Just a quick update. I've been deliberating over which tyres to get for my wheels for months, but keeping an eye on the price of the 235/85R16 Michelin Latitude Cross ones.
Recently the best price was £556.50 delivered (for five of them) from Blackcircles.com. I'll still have to pay to get them fitted of course. However, and my reason for posting now, is I just had another look at their site this afternoon and found that by adding the promo code 'FLASH10' to my order, they dropped to £502.00 delivered. Never has my credit card been in action so quickly! What a bargain. I tried various codes, including that one, this time last week and none of them worked. So if you need some yourself, I'd get cracking today. |

Will do, but it may take some time as I've still got to get the wheels painted and after today's 'hit', the wallet needs to refill again too!
