Nicely surprised. Just received my renewal from my broker who is using Aviva. Premium of £372 as opposed to £375 last year. After all the press comment of a 30 - 40% increase in premiums this year I am pleased to get some good news for once .

2007 XS insured for 15k.
Mine is also insured with them, for a lot more money, 2016 XS HT with lots and lots of extras, business mileage, 12k miles a year two drivers, fully protected no claims and it’s £220 per year. But I asked for a quote from them for house insurance and they wouldn’t insure me today because I live in a grade 2 listed barn. Guess like any insurance it’s swings and roundabouts. 2015 HT XS 90 2008 SVX 90 2000 XS TD5 90 |

They have come back with £282 on a £200 excess in very low crime area Guess the difference is my next big stop is 80 years old !!! 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

The whole claim process. First time they said they lost the paperwork, despite me having a ref number. A one off may be. Not so, same again three months later when it took them a week to respond to our reporting an incident. Never again Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Well James, Looks as if you were very unlucky as I had a young driver hit me in my Traveller and she was insured by Aviva. They collected my car, delivered to a repairer, had it repaired to an excellent standard and delivered back to me. All paid for, no excess questions and not even a very big claim form to fill in. All done on line.
I guess that we all have different experiences with these insurers, depends on the mood the particular claims handler is in at the time. Following discussion of Optimil Quick Release Boss and ancillaries ,discussed on other heading, they will now reduce the premium to £240, which is not bad considering Small may drive it 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

Avoid Aviva, they'll try and reduce your NCB with never making a claim at all! Keep on eye on your NCB years and always keep the details from the year previous in case you need it for a new insurer as proof to override it. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Still got a couple of weeks. A Plan have quoted £265, a bit more than Aviva, but as getting bad feedback on Aviva may pass on them. Interestingly, LV finally declined to quote and said my Landmark model was not one they would insure. A bit puzzled by that but they just said that this variant was not on their list. Their list is obviously different to others. 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |

Just looking at insurance quotes as due in a week or so, LV seems to be very competitive this year. Aplan are 44% more! Bit odd as been with them for a few years and no claims in that time. It pays to shop around.

Funny your vehicle is virtually the same as mine , but LV declined to quote because it was a Landmark model ?? Try Aviva direct they were competitive for me 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue 1967 Morris Traveller 1966 Morris Convertible 2012 VW T5 Camper Quod Abundat Non Obstat. |
