Does anyone know if you can buy the under body protection that is on the adventure model defenders and if so where?
Cheers |

that's interesting - sorry to go off topic here.
I thought manufacturers were obliged to make replacement components available for 10 years post production? |

The aluminium on my 110 protection is tarnished. LR have agreed this is a valid warranty item. They also say they are no longer available.
LR008247 is not the same as the Adventure part, which has pressed out circular holes rather than ridges. All of the aluminium guards fitted to the Adventure are fairly cosmetic and would be easily damaged by impact with anything solid. As has been said on the forum, the side protection doesn't actually protect anything, they are just for looks. Better off buying an aftermarket steering guard of serious thickness for proper protection! Well, they have agreed to anodise. Now I'm wondering if I'm getting a new steering guard and anodised side guards...
I'm going to drop into the garage on Monday for an update. Current Steeds: 2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green 2003 BMW F650 the Hack 2000 Elise 1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo) 1990 TDR 250 (in bits again) 1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale |
